AVKO Membership (Review)

Photobucket

AVKO Educational Research Foundation is a non profit organization that specializes in helping dyslexics learn to read, write, spell, as well as type.

AVKO offers a yearly membership for exclusive "members only" downloadable e-books and materials for homeschooling. Included in a basic AVKO membership is the following:

A basic one year membership to AVKO is $25.00.

There are so many resources included in this membership, especially if you have a child that is struggling in reading, writing, or spelling, or if you are teaching a child with dyslexia. The site can be a little overwhelming at first. There is a great amount of information to be found in these materials and useful worksheets for the price of the membership. You may have heard of Sequential Spelling. This is the company that makes that spelling curriculum. Although you do not need to own Sequential Spelling to benefit from an AVKO membership, there are plenty of materials included in this membership to supplement this particular spelling program. If you decide that an AVKO membership is right for you, I would advise you to read through any material before handing over to your child, as you would do with any other kind of worksheet.
